Leading Theoretical Quantum Condensed Matter Physicist

The American Vacuum Society Inc. is inviting applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the area of Theoretical Quantum Condensed Matter Physics.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced theoretical physicist to join our team at the University of Toronto. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue independent and innovative research at the highest international level, with a focus on quantum many-body physics.
Key Responsibilities:- Pursue an independent and innovative research program in quantum many-body physics, including computational and analytic approaches.
- Establish an outstanding, internationally competitive, and externally funded research program.
- Engage in undergraduate and graduate teaching, with a focus on Physics.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- A PhD degree in Physics or a related field by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter.
- A demonstrated record of excellence in both research in Theoretical Quantum Condensed Matter Physics and in teaching Physics.
- A strong ability to build bridges with other research clusters in the Department of Physics.
