Pharmacy Instructor

Job Summary

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Instructor to join our team. As a Pharmacy Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational programs to students in a pharmacy setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lesson plans, assignments, and lectures to students in a pharmacy setting.
• Supervise students in classroom, practicum, and lab settings to ensure they meet the required standards.
• Evaluate student progress through exams, assignments, and observations to ensure they meet the required standards.
• Record student progress and provide feedback to students to help them improve.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings and serve on ad hoc committees to contribute to the development of pharmacy education programs.
• Stay current with industry and educational requirements by attending seminars, workshops, and conferences.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies to secure appropriate experience for students.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be a licensed pharmacist or pharmacy technician with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacists and currently practicing.
• Must have two years of recent and relevant experience in a hospital or community pharmacy.
• Must demonstrate currency of practice and validation of aseptic compounding skills per the requirements of the regulatory authority within Saskatchewan.
• Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have effective instructional ability.
• Must demonstrate valuing diversity.
