Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist II to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a Speech Pathologist II, you will be responsible for providing clinical professional practice to adult clients experiencing swallowing and communication difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management services to adult clients.
- Participate in the planning, coordination, and delivery of rehabilitation services in collaboration with patients/clients, families, healthcare professionals, and other partners.
- Use clinical expertise to inform ongoing quality improvement, service integration, and program development.
- Supervise students and provide clinical guidance to other staff as appropriate.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).
Working Conditions:
This position will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams in two to four rural communities within Central Zone. Services will be provided in acute care hospital sites, long-term care sites, and outpatients. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are paramount in this role.
