Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient operation of the greenhouse
  • Organize and coordinate planting, pruning, and harvesting activities
  • Resolve work problems by providing technical advice and guidance to staff
  • Schedule events, programs, and activities to promote teamwork and productivity
  • Plan and direct grounds maintenance, including lawn care and landscaping
  • Plan and estimate labor and materials for projects
  • Maintain accurate work records and logs
  • Tender and administer contracts for equipment and supplies
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Supervise nursery and greenhouse workers to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
