Job Summary

Kobe Microgreens and Greenhouses Ltd. is seeking a skilled Greenhouse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our greenhouse and grounds maintenance team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in horticulture and experience in supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient greenhouse and grounds maintenance operations.
  • Organize planting of trees, gardens, and lawns, and ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Resolve work problems by providing technical advice to increase the value and functionality of our property.
  • Schedule events, programs, and activities, and plan and direct grounds maintenance.
  • Plan and estimate labour and materials, and maintain work records and logs.
  • Tender and administer contracts, and repair and maintain equipment.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, and supervise nursery and greenhouse workers.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of horticulture and greenhouse operations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced greenhouse environment and will be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
