We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at The TJX Companies. As a key member of our retail management team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and leading a team of retail professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Store Sales and Operations: Oversee daily store operations, including sales, customer service, and inventory management. Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of retail professionals, providing coaching, training, and feedback to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
- Merchandise Management: Manage merchandise presentation, inventory levels, and stockroom operations to ensure a visually appealing and well-stocked store.
- Loss Prevention and Safety: Implement and maintain loss prevention and safety procedures to protect company assets and ensure a safe working environment.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with store staff, district managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of company initiatives and goals.
Requirements:
- Education: Post-secondary education preferred; minimum high school education required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years supervisory experience in retail, including operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including interviewing, negotiating, listening, conflict management, information gathering, and coaching.
