About the Role

A&W Restaurants Inc is seeking a skilled Assistant Manager to join our team in Sooke, BC. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the restaurant in accordance with A&W Standards, Provincial WCB, and Employment and Health regulations.
  • Supervise staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to maintain profitability.
  • Ensure high-quality food preparation, presentation, and customer service.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in a restaurant supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in all restaurant positions.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operating systems and standards.
  • Ability to train and coach others.
Preferred Skills
  • Excellent communication and mathematical skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft 365 Business applications.
  • Ability to lead meetings and motivate teams.
Physical Demands
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Some heavy lifting required.
