Restaurant Assistant Manager Job Description

Island Burgers Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage staff performance, providing coaching and feedback to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of restaurant staff.
  • Set and manage staff work schedules to ensure optimal coverage and productivity.
  • Supervise and direct staff to ensure seamless execution of daily operations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews to identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback.
  • Manage inventory levels, cost control, and health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives and implement strategies to drive sales growth.
  • Lead and instruct staff to ensure excellent customer service and a positive dining experience.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including payroll, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a physically demanding environment.
