Job Title: Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst at FortisBC, you will play a crucial role in delivering renewable and non-renewable energy to our customers. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing information requirements, developing data models, and maintaining data architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze information requirements and translate them into conceptual and logical data models.
  • Develop and support IT infrastructure requirements for databases, including fall-over, backup, and recovery strategies.
  • Maintain data architecture and data models, coordinate implementation of model changes, and participate in the selection of tools and technologies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Outsourcing Partners and Vendors to support the implementation and maintenance of physical databases.
  • Develop and maintain Business Intelligence (BI) reporting based on Data Warehouse analysis.
  • Address data ownership issues and participate in developing enterprise-wide data integration policies, standards, and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of business systems analysis, data models, and database design.
  • Understanding of data architecture, conceptual design, and information systems technologies.
  • Capability to manage complex database design projects.
