VON Canada is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Visiting Nursing Program in Lunenburg, NS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical care to children, youth, adults, and seniors in their homes and other settings in communities across Nova Scotia.
  • Manage diabetes, dialysis, IV medications, IV/CVAD care, palliative care, phlebotomy, and wound care, including negative pressure wound therapy and complex wounds.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop strategies to address them.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse in the province of practice.
  • Experience in community health an asset.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle required.
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check required, and a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or a Child Abuse Registry Check may be required.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
