Executive Chef - Greek Cuisine Specialist

About the Role:

Asteras Greek Taverna is seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and maintaining high-quality standards in food preparation and presentation.

About You:

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a passion for Greek cuisine. As an Executive Chef, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, overseeing menu planning, inventory management, and staff training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage kitchen operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment
  • Maintain high-quality standards in food preparation and presentation, adhering to company recipes and guidelines
  • Develop and implement menus, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
  • Conduct regular inventory checks, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels
  • Work closely with the management team to achieve business objectives and improve customer satisfaction
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior chef role, preferably in a Greek restaurant or similar establishment
  • Degree in culinary arts or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
  • Familiarity with menu planning, inventory management, and staff training
Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including paid time off, health insurance, and opportunities for professional development.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, requiring a minimum of 40 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the business.
