Project Manager Role Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team based in Kelowna, BC. This role will involve overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project administration and management, including experience with RFI's, submittals, change order management, and progress billings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain strict adherence to industry and company safety standards
  • Support and promote Mazzei Electric's core values of Safety, Innovation, Relationships, and Trust
  • Engage in business development activities to grow market share in the region
  • Develop and coordinate schedules, resources plans, procurement, project commissioning, project tracking, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Control costs and maximize productivity through best practices and standard processes
  • Coordinate change management, RFIs, and client satisfaction
  • Participate in progress meetings and work with Site Superintendent and Project Foreperson
  • Manage financial aspects of projects through ongoing job forecasting
  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses
  • Oversee pre-construction meetings and determine needed resources
  • Collaborate with prefabrication and design departments
  • Set clear goals and expectations for forepersons and employee growth
  • Plan construction operations and schedule intermediate phases
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Electrical Journeyperson certification or past electrical project management experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Proficient in project administration and management tasks
  • Excellent knowledge of industry products, practices, and standards
  • Strong time management and IT skills, including Microsoft Office and industry-specific software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, leadership, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and experience managing contracts and budgets
Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $85,000 and $110,000 depending on skills and experience.
