Job Title: Registered Nurse Night Adult Unit Shift

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Seven Oaks General Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs. This will involve administering prescribed medical treatments, leading the healthcare team, and facilitating patient care and discharge.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide independent nursing services to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs
  • Administer prescribed medical treatments as directed by physicians
  • Lead the healthcare team in providing patient care and discharge
  • Facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver excellent patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program
  • Previous nursing experience in a hospital setting is considered an asset
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy
  • Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)
  • Regional/Facility/Unit policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines
  • Nursing care knowledge related to clinical area
  • Personal Health Information Act (PHIA), Protection of Persons in Care Act, Mental Health Act, Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS), Principles of Routine Practices (Universal Precautions) and other legislated acts
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or group of patients
  • Ability to perform independently and as a member of the healthcare team
  • Proficient with computers, software programs, and applications such as Windows and Word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
