Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at ServiceMaster Restore of Northern New Brunswick. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restoration projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management
    • Attend various sites to prepare detailed scopes and estimates for insurance and non-insurance jobs
    • Respond promptly to emergency insurance and non-insurance claims, determining the cause of losses and conducting research to understand project requirements
    • Execute work according to Service Level Agreements, confirming deductibles with clients and obtaining payment prior to starting repairs
    • Manage all project components, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely restoration processes
    • Monitor and coordinate project activities with insured individuals, clients, sub-trades, and other consultants
    • Coordinate daily activities of project staff, construction trades, and sub-contractors, utilizing corrective action steps to keep projects on schedule and within target gross margin
    • Assist in resolving change requests, unforeseen incidents, additional work, and other issues
    • Ongoing monitoring of progress and costs on jobs, providing regular progress reporting to clients
    • Review construction plans for compliance with applicable codes, permit issuance, and permit fees, regulations, and ordinances governing various bodies of work
    • Perform periodic site inspections of projects before, during, and upon completion of restoration to determine compliance with approved estimates
    • Coordinate the permit process by reviewing permit applications and received permits for accuracy
    • Prepare and maintain timely and accurate documentation, reports, and other materials
    • Track and review sub-trade quotes, estimates, changes, and requests for payment
  • Communications
    • Notify the Operations Manager of emergency work required on each project, including types and numbers of equipment, manpower, and supplies
    • Establish effective onsite communications and progress reporting processes with sub-trades and clients
    • Proactively respond to insured individuals' and clients' inquiries, concerns, or complaints, resolving any issues as soon as possible
  • General
    • Attend scheduled production meetings
    • Participate in 'on-call' rotations
    • Keep management informed of any concerns or opportunities
    • Attend industry events as required
    • Mediate and resolve disputes and code issues
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety and reporting requirements
    • Maintain professional conduct and appearance in all client-facing activities
    • Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency
    • Establish positive rapport with clients when possible
    • Provide an exceptional level of service that exceeds client expectations
    • Conduct all work in accordance with company safety policies
    • Adhere to all company workplace policies
    • Attend courses and seminars as required by management
    • Obtain certifications as required by management
    • Perform other duties as may be required
    Requirements
    • Education
      • High School Diploma
      • Completion of a Construction, Building Technology Diploma or Engineering Degree
      • Technical Diploma Professional Engineer, C.E.T., Gold Seal Constructor or PMP
      • IICRC Certifications are considered an asset
    • Work Experience
      • Minimum three (3) years of work experience in insurance restoration and/or construction estimating/project management
    • Technical Requirements
      • Office Equipment (copiers, scanners, printers, faxes, etc.)
      • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft computer software (e.g. Excel, Word, etc.), email, Xactimate, Xactanalysis

    • Physical Requirements
      • This position requires a low level of physical exertion. Moderate intensity of sensory effort is required.
    • Working Conditions
      • There is a low risk of exposure to adverse working conditions.
      • The majority of time will be split between site and office environments. The position can occasionally expect to handle tools and heavy equipment. Working outside of normal hours might be occasionally required to deal with emergencies and/or work on-call shifts.
