GVA Lighting, Inc. is seeking a Technical Lighting Systems Specialist to provide critical technical support for our lighting systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and technical support, with excellent problem-solving skills and high proficiency in spoken and written English communication.
Responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshooting malfunctioning systems and recommending corrective actions;
- Resolving customer complaints and establishing corrective action plans;
- Communicating technical information accurately and providing a positive impression of GVA Lighting and our product offering;
- Determining issues by gathering customer information and evaluating symptoms;
- Instructing customers in the operation and maintenance of installed systems;
- Programming on-site equipment such as power data devices, luminaires, and control systems;
- Troubleshooting on-site equipment not functioning as per factory specifications and taking action to resolve issues or instructing on-site personnel;
- Reading project-specific lighting layouts, 3D light renderings, electrical plans, and designs in preparation for site visits;
- Understanding the design philosophy and construction of GVA LED lighting products;
- Providing feedback to product managers, engineering, quality teams, and manufacturing teams to develop, evaluate, and improve products and processes for the benefit of GVA and its customers;
- Supporting additional capacities as required, such as system installations, training sessions, and satellite office support;
- Documenting steps taken, pictures, timesheets, processes, and failure analysis reports;
- Issuing return requests (Return Material Authorizations).
