About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at Sierra Space. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies. You will also be responsible for accurate coding, verification, and electronic entry of Accounts Payable data into our Automated Accounting System.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Accurately code, verify, and electronically enter Accounts Payable data into our Automated Accounting System
  • Research and resolve issues as requested by internal and external auditors and project managers
  • Maintain back-end scanning and record retention

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Proficiency with Automated Accounting Systems
  • Strong analytical, time management, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Sales and Use Tax requirements

Working Conditions

  • Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
  • Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity
  • Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.
