Electrical Construction Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to oversee the electrical scope of work on our construction projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple subcontractors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the electrical scope of work from procurement to commissioning
  • Oversee the management of electrical parties on site, including field resources and sub-trades
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies, regulations, and acts
  • Develop and implement site work schedules
  • Organize and preside over regular safety meetings
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean site
  • Manage contract administration, including subcontractor and field management meetings
  • Maintain good client relations and communicate with staff on site
  • Initiate and attend supplementary and regular meetings with clients for problem resolution and planning
  • Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections
  • Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover
  • Maintain a daily diary for record-keeping purposes
  • Ensure timely performance evaluations for direct reports

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in electrical construction, with a strong background in on-site coordination and management of multiple subcontractors and suppliers
  • Demonstrated experience in working on construction projects with multiple construction crews
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
