We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician who wants to expand their skills and be a part of an amazing collaborative team and part of the VCA family. We are firm believers in using RVTs to their full scope of practice and we encourage, promote and reward employees for learning skills and further developing their hands-on knowledge and theory as it relates to their patients.
As a Veterinary Technician, you will have the opportunity to learn and master various skills, including the placement of IV catheters, urinary catheters, nasogastric tubes, and nasal oxygen cannulas. You will also care for patients with NG & E-tubes, closed suction drains, chest tubes, urinary catheters, and wound diffusion catheters. Additionally, you will set up, maintain, and adjust various IV fluid plans and pain CRI's along with multiple medication administration.
You will hone in on your patient care with treatments of in-hospital patients, including blocked cats, gastroenteritis, foreign bodies, fractures, lacerations, GDV, parvo, and various autoimmune diseases. You will also help stabilize and perform anesthesia with our amazing team of specialists for various surgical and wound procedures and surgeries, as well as manage them post-operatively.
Schedule: Our ER Technicians rotate 4 on, and 5 off with two 12-hour day shifts followed by two, 12-hour night shifts. This includes weekends and holidays.
