Senior Clinical Applications Analyst

Job Summary: Within the context of a shared services initiative between Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and Providence Health Care (PHC), the Senior Clinical Applications Analyst leads the planning, stakeholder engagement, analysis, design, and implementation of new clinical application functionality within time and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leads process analysis groups and/or feasibility studies with end users and vendors to identify and evaluate user requirements.
  2. Develops and/or assists in the development of project charters, work plans, task sequencing, and time schedules.
  3. Develops project plans, resource requirements, timelines, and cost estimates from feasibility through handoff to sustainment.
  4. Oversees and provides work direction to assigned project resources, operational sustainment staff, and contract resources.
  5. Participates in the preparation of RFI/RFP documentation and participates in vendor evaluation and selection, as required.
  6. Works collaboratively with users and uses change management techniques in defining, implementing, and documenting changes in user processes.
  7. Ensures development, documentation, and execution of test plans, including unit, end-to-end, integration, and volume testing.
  8. Develops training and user orientation strategies, training materials, quick reference manuals, and training delivery.


Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in Computer Science or Health Informatics, four years' recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to organize work, communicate effectively, deal with others effectively, and operate related equipment.
