Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

Vantage Community Services Society is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Child and Youth Worker to provide support and guidance to children and youth in a group home setting. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group support to children and youth, focusing on life skills development, education, and emotional well-being.
  • Implement life skills workshops and activities to promote independence and self-esteem.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as household chores and meal preparation.
  • Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution support as needed.
  • Collaborate with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., social work, child and youth care).
  • Experience working with children and youth in a group home or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of child and youth development principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
