Financial Services Advisor

In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial and investment planning advice to deliver solutions in the best interests of the customer. You will determine client needs and provide solutions through the sales of managed products and services such as mutual funds, retirement savings plans, and similar products.
Key Responsibilities:- Proactively engage with new and existing customers and prospects by providing needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify immediate/future opportunities.
- Implement business development strategies to acquire new business through outbound calling campaigns and cultivating branch referrals.
- Engage customers to grow BMO's business by reaching out, generating appointments, and building new relationships within the community.
- Identify opportunities during customer conversations to generate referrals for personal and commercial banking products.
- Support the achievement of sales and performance targets.
- Develop and implement a relationship management plan to meet the needs of clients.
- Respond to customer investment requests to fulfill investment product needs aligned with the customer's goals and refer the customer to partners where appropriate.
- Develop solutions and make recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
- Break down strategic problems and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Execute work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service.
- Introduce clients to investment strategies and work with clients to set goals and make real financial progress using appropriate guidance tools.
- Typically between 3-5 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CFP designation preferred or one of the following: Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation, Wealth Management Essentials (WME) + Financial Planning Supplement, Professional Financial Planning Course (PFPC), Financial Planning I & II (FP I & II).
- Canadian Securities Course - Licensed to sell mutual funds, excluding QC or IQPF in Quebec.
- Advanced working knowledge of the financial industry.
- Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.

- Analytical and problem-solving skills - In-depth.
- Influence skills - In-depth.
This is a salaried and commission-based role with a starting salary of $55,000 plus upward commission potential. The total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
