About the Role

We are seeking a skilled trades technician to join our team in Halifax, NS. As a welder, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining HVAC systems, ensuring they function efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess job sites and set up equipment prior to commencing work;
  • Follow safety protocols and comply with occupational standards;
  • Read and interpret installation diagrams;
  • Carry out HVAC installation, which includes ducting, fasteners on hangers and ducts, and insulation;
  • Anchor and hook-up HVAC machinery such as air handling units, fans, chillers, ventilation equipment, etc.;
  • Assist in verifying that HVAC installation is functioning.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling. You must also have attention to detail and good eye-hand coordination. Additionally, you may work in confined or restricted areas.

Qualifications
  • Experience in welding.
  • Completed pre-apprenticeship course or equivalent experience.
  • Good work quality and ability to work steadily to meet project timelines.
  • Good physical dexterity to work in tight or awkward locations.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive compensation package, including benefits and opportunities for career growth.
