Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, collect relevant information, and develop individualized care plans to address their unique needs.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care, promote patient-centered care, and ensure seamless transitions.
- Clinical Expertise: Utilize your specialized knowledge and skills to provide high-quality emergency care, including triage, stabilization, and treatment of patients with a range of conditions.
- Education and Support: Teach patients and families about health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care strategies to empower them to manage their health effectively.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document patient information, assessments, and care plans, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and care processes.
- Education and Experience: Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Completion of applicable post-graduate coursework in emergency nursing or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
