Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Fraser Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients and collect information from various sources to develop a comprehensive care plan.
  • Collaborate with patients and their families/caregivers to develop and implement care plans.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing education to patients and families.
  • Work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Completion of applicable post-graduate coursework in emergency nursing or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families/caregivers, and the interprofessional care team.
  • Ability to promote person-centered care and demonstrate empathy, trust, and respect for patients and families.
