Construction Laborer

Bolton, Canada Rafat General Contracting Full time

Rafat General Contracting is seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team. As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for assisting skilled tradespersons with various tasks on construction sites. Your duties will include loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials, erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades. You will also mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, and assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction. Additionally, you will assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, and help with framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs. Your work will involve leveling earth to fine grade specifications, paving and raking asphalt, and assisting in demolishing buildings. You will also clean and pile salvaged materials, clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Your tasks will also include tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction, directing traffic at or near construction sites, and performing emergency roadside repairs. You will also clean and maintain sidewalks, streets, roads, and public grounds. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be physically fit, and have excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials
