We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Literacy Resource Instructor to join our ESL LINC Program at St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering tutorials to individual students and groups, ensuring level-appropriate instruction, and collaborating with instructors to assess student needs.
Key Responsibilities- Support students in using technology for in-person and online classes
- Prepare and deliver tutorials to individual students and groups based on CLB guidelines
- Ensure level-appropriate instruction based on ESL/LINC guidelines
- Collaborate with instructors to assess student needs
- Provide learner-centered language instruction using resources and activities sensitive to cultural differences and inclusivity
- Assess learners' needs, development, and skill levels in accordance with CLB guidelines using CLB-based assessment tools
- Implement PBLA approach to teaching and assessment
- Use online platforms for posting asynchronous learning materials
- Use professionally acceptable and effective classroom management strategies
- Share community support contact information with students
- Current TESL Ontario Accredited Certification - OCELT
- Recent Canadian Language Benchmarks training or willingness to complete
- Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English
- Experience teaching in an ESL setting
- Experience working with adult learners
- Completed PBLA training and/or experience working with PBLA
- Knowledge of online platforms for learning
