Job Title: Digital Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Designer to join our Brand Impact team at Equitable Life of Canada. As a Digital Designer, you will be responsible for leading the development of our visual brand expression across all digital platforms, including UI design for Web, UI layer for UX, and paid digital. You will work closely with our design team to ensure consistency in our brand guidelines and application across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead designer for digital expressions of the brand, including UI design for Web, UI layer for UX, and paid digital.
  • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues that require design services, ensuring their expectations are managed and their business needs are met.
  • Manage the creative production process of your work, ensuring that standards for quality and branding are maintained, and that deadlines are met.
  • Ensure work orders are fully completed, clarify specifications and scope, understand objectives, and negotiate deadlines as required.
  • Work with teams and external providers to help ensure timely delivery of rush requests and urgent business needs.
  • Lead the development of UX – UI Brand Guidelines, ensuring the consistent application of the Brand Playbook across the organization.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a Graphic Services role, preferably in the financial industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adapt to unique situations and projects.
  • Understanding of current web standards, principles, and best practices with regards to digital marketing, display ads, and social media ads.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current trends in UI/UX, video, animation, and accessible design.
  • Experience in creating integrated content across all marketing channels: digital, social media, paid media, mobile, offline, and small and large format print.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to allocate, manage, and coordinate resources to handle project workload with on-time delivery.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • An innovative thinker with a desire to constantly improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strong creative vision, with an eye on business objectives.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, XD, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Comprehension of basic HTML/CSS and standard UX web practices.
