Lead Security Operations Business Analyst

A 3-month contract with potential extension is available for a Lead Security Operations Business Analyst in the Gaming Industry in Vancouver, British Columbia.
About the Role:We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Security Operations Business Analyst to assist with a division-wide project. The ideal candidate will have a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in both agile and hybrid environments.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Operational Support: Provide operational support and address various analysis or team needs. Work in waterfall, agile, or hybrid environments, requiring close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Leads, and Project Managers on road mapping, stakeholder engagement, scope management, and prioritization.
- Division-Wide Initiative: Spearhead a division-wide initiative to reduce technical debt from fragmented enterprise logging practices. Collaborate with agile teams on scope planning, analysis, documentation, and the design of future state logging processes.
- Business Analysis Approach: Develop and implement a robust business analysis approach to gather, analyze, and document detailed user needs in user stories or other supporting artifacts.
- System and User Analysis: Address detailed system and user analysis needs and gaps, ensuring thorough documentation to help the development team understand requirements and dependencies.
- Discussion Facilitation: Facilitate and guide discussions in various sessions, including requirements, process design, refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, and standups.
- Expertise: Expertise in IIBA BABOK knowledge areas and techniques with over 6 years of senior-level BA experience.
- Collaboration Experience: Experience collaborating with business users and subject matter experts to develop detailed requirements, gap analyses, current and future state designs, and other analyses.
- Technical Skills: Higher ranking for candidates with experience in Tibco, Splunk, enterprise logging strategies/models, and related implementations.
- Analytical Skills: Extensive experience in eliciting, creating, and managing requirements using Waterfall, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and innovation abilities, including the creation of contingency plans for risks.
The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits may include health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
