We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team at SD Furniture & Kitchen Cabinets Inc. A Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, repairing and finishing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes and other materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building codes, safety protocols and effective time management.



  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
  • Supervise other workers.
  • Estimate costs and materials.
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
