Job Title: Accounting Professional for Tax Compliance

Salary: Estimated $60,000 - $80,000 per year.

Job Description:
  • Tax Compliance: Assist in the completion of tax engagements by computing taxes owed, preparing personal and corporate tax returns, and reviewing share capital, trust tax returns, partnership returns, and other tax compliance forms.
  • Document Review: Review legal documents such as articles of incorporation, purchase agreements, and amalgamation agreements.
  • Client Communication: Correspond with clients and various government agencies to address client tax compliance issues.
  • Documentation: Assist in the preparation of tax instruction letters, technical memorandums, and client reporting letters and documentation to support a working paper file.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Post-Secondary Degree: Post-secondary degree or certificate in accounting or another relevant field.
  • Experience: Experience in an accounting, customer service, and/or client service environment is preferred.
  • Financial Analysis: Experience in financial statement analysis and preparation of tax returns is considered an asset.
  • Tax Knowledge: Working knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience working with accounting and tax software is considered an asset.
