About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Underground Electrical Materials Coordinator to join our Mine Maintenance team at the Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, Ontario.

The Macassa Mine is a high-grade gold producer with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. As an Underground Electrical Materials Coordinator, you will be responsible for ordering, tracking, storing, and coordinating parts and materials underground to ensure efficient execution of scheduled and unscheduled activities.

Responsibilities

  • Secure parts and materials in close communication with shift supervision.
  • Tag and kit parts and materials as per job task and location.
  • Maintain close communication with Planner, Electrical Designer, and General Supervisor to ensure future work is resourced to be successful.
  • Attend Planning/Scheduling Meetings to review and input on parts and material availability.
  • Participate in kitting material underground in preparation for upcoming work.
  • Communicate through a log/spreadsheet all activities day to day tracking and material status.
  • Act with integrity and as a representative of the business.
  • Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with critical orders and SSJ submissions.
  • Monitor critical spares, return to stock, and scrap processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years' experience in an industrial/mining setting.
  • Extensive knowledge in power distribution and installation methods.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with inventory management software applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid G Driver's License.
  • Comfort in being in an underground environment.
  • Strong physical and mental abilities.
  • Good work ethic and strong attitude towards safety.
