Job Title: Child Care Licensing and Compliance Lead

Join the Manitoba Metis Federation team as a Child Care Licensing and Compliance Lead, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of childcare services across the province.

Job Summary:

The Child Care Licensing and Compliance Lead is responsible for assisting with the licensing and strategic planning of licensed childcare centers, providing training and support to Centre Directors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with planning licensing timelines and conduct site visits as required;
  • Facilitate the preparation and analysis of reports, and implement ELCC Child Care policies and procedures;
  • Develop and prepare training materials, and assist with strategic planning to determine department objectives;
  • Establish partnerships with industry contacts, childcare centers, and service providers, and assist with preparing monthly reports as required by the department;
  • Coordinate meetings for staff training and development, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or relevant field, or equivalent experience and training;
  • Minimum of three years' experience as a Licensing Manager, Provincial Coordinator, or relevant Management role with demonstrated ability to deliver programs and services;
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience developing and facilitating programming, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Experience working with boards and/or committees, and knowledge of Red River Métis culture, MMF programs and services is an asset;
  • Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle.
