Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Child Care Provider to join our team. As a Child Care Provider, you will be responsible for providing holistic care to children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Holistic Care
    • Deliver comprehensive care to children, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs
    • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child
  • Build Positive Relationships
    • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and team members
    • Communicate effectively with children, families, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Ensure Safety and Well-being
    • Ensure the physical and emotional safety of children at all times
    • Monitor and report any concerns or incidents related to child safety or well-being
  • Document and Record
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of child care activities, including meals, snacks, and daily routines
    • Document any incidents, concerns, or issues related to child care
  • Collaborate with Team Members
    • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure seamless care delivery
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans and policies
  • Meet Regulatory Requirements
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to child care
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Education and Certification
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
    • First Aid and CPR certification required
  • Experience and Skills
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in a child care setting; experience working with children in crisis an asset
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Language
    • Fluency in English required; proficiency in other languages an asset
