We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Duty Field Mechanic to join our team at our Dartmouth, NS branch.

About the Role

As a Heavy Duty Field Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of construction equipment, including earth-moving equipment, compaction equipment, and aerial equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment on customer jobsites.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make required repairs on customer jobsites.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance on customer jobsites.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions with customers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance, and work orders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of mechanical experience, preferably working on construction equipment.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean or satisfactory driver's abstract.
  • Complete set of tools.
  • Ability to work overtime as required and on an on-call rotation.
  • Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, and motors.
