Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Merchandise Operations Specialist to join our team at Signet Jewelers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for processing merchandise through various tasks, utilizing product knowledge, independent decision making, and the ability to learn processes and operate equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Receiving and Shipping: Process daily receiving of merchandise from vendors and stores, as well as shipping packages to various destinations. Maintain accurate carton controls, sort and process merchandise for movement to inventory locations, consolidate and pack packages for domestic and international shipping, and handle pickup/delivery of packages throughout the facility.
  2. Inventory Management: Process merchandise through purchase orders, invoices, worksheets, inventory management, and cycle counting. Utilize computers for transferring, RF Guns & carousels – put away and picking, and complete multiple tasks associated with merchandise processing. Monitor and maintain inventory levels in departments, handle customer contact/handling of incoming phone calls, follow up on warranty repairs, and work with QC and Business Operations Manager to handle Hotline calls.
  3. Maintaining Productivity and Quality: Meet individual productivity standards, track and report daily, ensure quality of product, packaging, and transfer movement, and maintain timely and efficient movement of product through Distribution and Manufacturing operations to meet service levels. Verify/inspect SKU and ticket merchandise.
  4. Accuracy and Technical Skills: Maintain accuracy of all tasks performed, retain operating knowledge of technology platforms including 3rd party shipping, movement software, sorting systems, radio-frequency guns, automated pick processes, and multiple inventory management applications.
  5. Semi-Annual Inventory Reconciliations: Process new merchandise through inspection, transfer completion, assignment, and put away into secured storage locations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new processes and technologies;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in task performance;
  • Proficiency in computer applications and software related to inventory management and supply chain logistics;
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on location and experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

This is a full-time position with regular working hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment, with opportunities for advancement and career growth.
