About the Role

Fergus & Bix Canmore Inc. is seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team in a dynamic kitchen environment. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, taking into account their specific needs and requirements.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties effectively.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Work Setting: This role is based in a restaurant and bar environment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team are essential for this role.
