Job Title: Chef, Ethnic Cuisine Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team at The Saffron House. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as managing kitchen operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Manage kitchen operations
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Dependability, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability, and team player
Work Environment:

The Saffron House is a restaurant located in a physical location. The work setting is on site, and there is no option to work remotely.

Additional Information:

The ideal candidate will have experience in East Indian and vegetarian cuisine specialties. The work conditions and physical capabilities required for this role include attention to detail, fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and work under pressure.
