Overview

We are seeking a skilled Geomatics Surveyor Specialist to join our team at Beedie. As a key member of our Land Development Department, you will be responsible for assisting the Civil General Superintendent on various project sites.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collect and record information using conventional instruments, robotic total stations, digital levels, and GPS equipment.
  • Interpret field data to create accurate survey drawings and legal plans.
  • Explore the landscape and document geographical information.
  • Confirm elevations, volumes, and locations of onsite services.
  • Mark land boundaries with geographical tools and measuring devices.
  • Liaise with project managers, contractors, and members of the public.
  • Clear brush and debris from the line of survey.
  • Work safely within defined safety protocols.
  • Complete survey calculations and prepare drawings, maps, plans, records, and documents as needed.
  • Maintain an organized library of site records, measurements, and other survey information.

Requirements

  • BC Land Surveyor or Land Surveyor in Training is an asset.
  • Education and/or experience in geomatics or field surveying.
  • Proficient using conventional survey instruments, robotic total stations, digital levels, and GPS equipment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (Civil3D, AutoCAD, Kubla, Microsoft Office).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Physically fit.
  • A valid driver's license and car required.

Benefits and Compensation

The annual base pay range for this position is $55,000 - $72,000. Additionally, Beedie recognizes exceptional individual and team performance through our pay-for-performance bonus program.
