**Position Summary**

As a Project Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in calculating land boundaries in various locations and generating accurate maps and reports of survey results. You will have hands-on experience with engineering instruments and proficiency in GPS and GIS systems. To excel as a surveyor, you must possess exceptional mathematical and analytical skills, coupled with a keen eye for measurements.

**As a Project Surveyor your key accountabilities will involve**:

- Initiating control of the site from legal survey and maintain survey points for accuracy.
- Interpreting field data to create accurate survey drawings and legal plans, which will include downloading and editing field data, interpreting field notes and sketches, and processing conventional and GPS data.
- Communicating scope and schedule information to team members by setting expectations and ensuring project tasks are completed on time.
- Managing flow of information between the field and office
- Preparing concise, and accurate field notes, records, and calculations.
- Performing on-site liaison between Project Manager and client/contractor as required.
- Maintaining, testing, calibrating, and adjusting survey equipment as needed.
- Reviewing anchors, beams, and embed plates for structural steel as per drawings for elevators, windows, and roof slabs.
- Comparing structural and architectural drawings for discrepancies and provide solutions as needed.
- Performing preliminary, constructing, and updating as-built drawings.
- Providing quality control by checking for accuracy at all control points, benchmarks, gridlines, survey marks, elevations, and stakeout points.
- Producing building control drawings.
- Ensuring implementation of quality assurance, safety, and policy compliance.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for precise interpretation and analysis of survey data.
- Proven ability to work independently, as part of a mid-size, highly versatile team and in collaboration with professional land surveyor.

**As a Project Surveyor your experience and qualifications will include**:

- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
- Laser-level horizontal formwork experience
- Work in collaboration with BIM Department
- Experience with all survey equipment including total station and 3D scanner.
- Technical construction knowledge and aptitude 2-year technical diploma in Geomatics
- 4-5 years’ previous experience in a similar role
- Experience in land development, including building strata plan (high-rise, mid-rise, commercial and industrial), topographic surveys, and construction surveys.
- BC Land Surveyor designation and membership in good standing with the Association of British Columbia Land Surveyors (ABCLS).
