Job Summary:

The Sioux Lookout Meno Ya WIn Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Supervisor to lead our Mental Health and Addictions Program. As a key member of our team, you will provide clinical supervision to our staff, ensuring a high quality of care for our clients. Your expertise will guide our counsellors in developing and implementing therapeutic treatment plans, and you will also provide direct psychotherapy services to complex clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical supervision to MHAP staff, including ongoing review of client treatment plans, debriefing, and coaching.
  • Use evaluation techniques and evidence-based best practices to guide counsellors in developing and implementing therapeutic treatment plans.
  • Provide one-on-one, family, and group psychotherapy services to complex clients.
  • Perform clinical duties requiring a level of expertise not available within the department.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the team to provide comprehensive services to clients.
  • Assess individual needs and assist clients to improve functioning in the community.
  • Develop and implement program plans, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality services.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other Behavioral Sciences from a recognized program.
  • Minimum of three years' experience working in a mental health and addictions setting, including two years administrative/supervisory experience.
  • Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (if a social worker) or another recognized professional counselling college.
  • Current knowledge of child protection/reportability requirements.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of and interest in First Nations culture.
