Operating Room Nurse Position

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join the Operating Rooms team at Vancouver General Hospital in Vancouver, BC.
Job Summary:This full-time position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including MSP, extended health, dental, and municipal pension plan.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality nursing care in an operating room environment as part of an integrated surgical team performing various surgical interventions.
- Enhance patient quality of life from a holistic perspective.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Maintain and improve clinical competence through continuous learning and professional development.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of a recognized advanced nursing specialty program in operating room nursing or two years' recent experience in an acute care operating room environment.
- Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a patient-centered model of care.
- Comprehensive knowledge of perioperative nursing techniques, standards, instrumentation, supply, and equipment requirements for various surgical procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an operating room environment of an acute care teaching hospital.
