Gameplay Software Engineer

As a Gameplay Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of the EA SPORTS FC team, responsible for designing and implementing gameplay-related systems. With a strong focus on collaboration and innovation, you will work closely with artists, designers, and other engineers to bring the game's vision to life.
Your Responsibilities
- Create engaging gameplay experiences: Design and write code that runs and controls the game, incorporating existing libraries and writing custom code.
- Prototype new mechanics: Develop prototypes to test and refine gameplay ideas, ensuring they meet the team's high standards.
- Design technical designs: Create technical designs for gameplay systems, considering performance implications and optimization opportunities.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field: Or equivalent training and professional experience.
- Proficiency in C++ and object-oriented design: Experience architecting and implementing A.I., character control, multiplayer, or other gameplay-related systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of good software practices: Understanding of multithreaded architectures, synchronization principles, and excellent debugging skills.
Compensation and Benefits
- Estimated salary: $96,400 - $133,900 CAD per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
