Job Description

The Senior Software Engineering Director will lead and manage a team of software engineers in the execution of complex design and customization programs to meet organizational goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, managing, and coordinating resources, processes, and tools to deliver software releases for Delta-Q products.
  • Defining the product roadmap and technical direction to deliver Delta-Q's long-term vision and strategy.
  • Developing the technical competencies of the team through direction, training, and mentorship.
  • Implementing and maintaining best-in-class software development processes.

Leadership Qualities

As an integral and influential leader for Delta-Q, you will guide teams in completing ambitious yet achievable schedules, balancing product release timelines with important activities. Effective people management skills, including mentorship, technical knowledge, and values-based coaching techniques, are essential for success in this role. You will create trusting relationships with your team, particularly aspiring engineers, and help develop their talent and technical aptitude while pushing project boundaries.

Requirements

  • Relevant education in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, combined with at least 10 years of experience in design, development, and release cycles for embedded software systems.
  • Proven experience successfully developing and executing an embedded software strategy while managing and directing embedded software teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills with the ability to engage and inspire team members in achieving departmental and corporate objectives.

Benefits

The compensation package includes a base salary of $144,000 - $175,000 per year plus bonus, with additional benefits such as annual incentive program, 2% GRSP employer matching, comprehensive health and dental benefits, paid time off, Health Spending Account, Employee & Family Assistance programming, In-house Gym, EV charging stations, and Dog-friendly office.
