Job Title: HVAC Technician/Plumber

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Technician/Plumber to join our team at the Portage la Prairie School Division. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including boilers, chillers, and air handling units.
  • Install, replace, and repair plumbing fixtures, including pipes, fittings, and valves.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, including electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks and projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Requirements:

  • Manitoba Certification in Power Engineering (4th Class), Gas Ticket (Class B), and Journeyman Plumber.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Grade 12 standing or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's Licence.
  • Physically and medically fit to perform assigned duties.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
