Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the safety and security of our clients, tenants, and patrons.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to clients, tenants, and patrons
- Write clear and detailed reports, including incident, emergency, liability, and day-to-day reports
- Monitor and report irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations
- Provide first aid and medical response when required
- Perform regular foot patrols to ensure personnel, building, and equipment security
- Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities
- Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers
Requirements
- 6 months of security experience or 6 months of customer experience
- Valid security license
- Valid OFA 1 or higher
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Physical fitness: ability to walk for prolonged hours
- Class 5 driving license (asset for mobile patrol)
- Transportation Security Clearance (TSC) (asset for work at the airport and port)
Education and Certification
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid BC Security License
- Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License
- OFA I
- Valid Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED
