We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at Design the 8 Studio Inc. as a key member of our construction team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools and ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials to create high-quality structures.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems to meet project requirements.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware to ensure a seamless finish.
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including commercial and residential projects.
As a Carpentery Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights, in noisy and dusty conditions. You will be required to travel to various locations and work on different projects.
Requirements- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Ability to work at heights, handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
