Job Summary:

This is an opportunity to lead various AML program activities such as Risk Assessment, Policy changes (consultations, gap analysis, and implementation with stakeholders), AML Road To Strong initiatives and portions of AML Issues Management & Reporting.

The G&C Specialist will be responsible for executing the annual AML/Sanctions/ABAC Risk Assessments (RASA) for a designated portfolio to identify risks and controls to strengthen our control environment.

You will also represent CPB's interests in ad-hoc activities/program changes impacting our Segment and manage relationships within various business lines and/or control functions.

This role requires strong organization skills, ability to stay on top of multiple Issue records and ensure they're up-to-date while forecasting upcoming activities/milestones/dates.

  • Subject Matter Expert as it relates to AML/ATF/Sanctions & ABAC
  • Seasoned professional with experience identifying, managing and mitigating AML risk while working in a complex environment.
  • Detailed business knowledge of Canadian Personal Banking.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and find meaningful solutions.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to impact and influence outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams and with control partners.
  • Experience working with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) programs is essential for this role.
  • Experience in Exam/Finding management, governance and control, risk, compliance or other similar function.
