Job Summary
Northern Health Authority seeks a skilled Nutrition Specialist to join our dynamic team in Primary Care. As a Registered Dietitian, you will work collaboratively with interprofessional teams to develop and deliver health services that promote optimal nutrition and well-being for our clients.

About the Role
The Nutrition Specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive nutrition care and education to individuals and families within the context of a person-centered model of care. This includes assessing nutritional needs, developing personalized plans of care, and implementing interventions to achieve effective outcomes related to nutrition and health.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' nutritional needs and develop personalized plans of care
- Provide evidence-based nutrition counseling and education to clients and their families
- Collaborate with interprofessional teams to integrate nutrition care into the overall plan of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of nutrition services

Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics from an accredited program
- Successful completion of an accredited dietetic internship program or equivalent acceptable to the facility
- Registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia
- Minimum two years of clinical nutrition experience in a healthcare environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience

Skills and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of nutrition science and its application in various settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to assess and address complex nutritional needs and provide tailored solutions
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other software applications relevant to nutrition care
