Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Vice President of Operations to join our team at the Government of Canada - Central. This senior leadership position will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and execution of organizational policies and programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate resources to implement organizational policies and programs.
  • Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
  • Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments.
  • Establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and approve overall human resources planning.
  • Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs.
  • Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions.
  • Select middle managers, directors or other executive staff; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions.

Requirements

  • 5 years or more of experience in a senior leadership position.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal awareness and team player skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fast-paced environment and attention to detail.

Working Conditions

  • Work must be completed at the physical location.
  • Transportation and budgetary responsibility.
