About the Role

As an AML Compliance Analyst at Royal Bank of Canada, you will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating financial, regulatory, reputational, and legal risk to the organization.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Global Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance department, where you will conduct Enhanced Due Diligence and provide timely reports to management for review and approval.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize and conduct AML and Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF) analyses to identify Key Risk Indicators for mitigating financial, regulatory, reputational, and legal risk to RBC.
  • Investigate and conduct research using RBC-approved techniques and tools to assess the level of AML regulatory or reputational risk posed by clients.
  • Assign an appropriate risk rating to Caribbean Personal and Commercial Retail Banking clients based on RBC's risk rating methodology.
  • Prepare high-quality written reports for senior management review that effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze information, ensuring timely escalation and adherence to defined timelines and RBC policies and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge, best practices, and skills sets relevant to AML, ATF, and other regulatory matters to support analytical functions.
  • Update and maintain files with accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness, emphasizing quality.
About You

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly developed organizational skills and ability to work within strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of or experience in AML Compliance, Financial Crimes investigations, or financial regulatory oversight.
  • Knowledge of banking systems and processes.
  • Strong AML knowledge – CAMS designation preferred.
